Matthew is a native English fintech writer, copywriter, and lead writer for MadCrypto. His past hasn’t always been in fintech writing or writing, for that matter. After spending his formative years in Johannesburg, South Africa, and graduating as a chef, he worked in numerous kitchens worldwide before settling in the UK in 2015. Fast forward seven years, with an entirely different degree in environmental science and a career in content writing and copywriting, he’s found himself writing across a magnitude of various topics across multiple different industries.
He lives and breathes crypto and has been trading it since 2016. His love for investing started as soon as he had some spare cash to throw at the stock market. He’s made some good investments; he’s made some terrible ones. He’s lost crypto; he’s clawed back some losses through leveraging and staking. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing. But these experiences eventually led him to MadCrypto. Outside of MadCrypto, you’ll find him slowly being moulded and manipulated by a 1-year-old, running really long distances on some remote trails and hills, or trying to ferment anything and everything in his garage.
